Blue Shield of California Selects Mede Business Analytics to Improve Provider Relations

Collaboration to provide complete analytics solutions to

Emeryville, CA, June 25, 2007 — Blue Shield of California has contracted with Emeryville-based Mede (Mede) to strengthen and streamline its provider communications and processes. Continuing its efforts to make it easier for hospitals and physicians to do business with Blue Shield, the not-for-profit health plan is collaborating with Mede to obtain data on hospital operations, network management and claims processes.
