Orlando Health Selects MedeAnalytics
Patient Access Services

EMERYVILLE, Calif., July 23, 2009 — MedeAnalytics, a leading provider of healthcare performance management solutions, announced it has expanded its solution suite at Orlando Health to now include Patient Access Services. The solution will allow registration staff at Orlando Health to estimate patient payment obligation, screen uninsured patients for charity care, identify demographic errors, verify insurance eligibility, and manage the financial counseling process using real-time business intelligence and web-based workflow technology. Orlando Health, as a development partner, has been a progressive user of MedeAnalytics’ full suite of advanced solutions and services since 2004.

“We have been utilizing MedeAnalytics solutions to optimize our back-end revenue cycle and business office activity for several years. Now we are bringing this same level of analytics and intelligent workflow to the front end,” said Orlando Health Vice President of Revenue Management Keith Eggert. “Empowering our patient access staff with integrated tools that prompt them to take action prior to service is a critical part of our strategy to resolve financial clearance issues earlier in the process.”

“We are excited that Orlando Health has decided to add our front-end solution to its suite of services and solutions. This will serve to strengthen its already successful revenue cycle strategy,” said MedeAnalytics Chief Executive Officer Mike Gallagher. “Orlando Health is an industry leader in revenue cycle management, and we are proud to be part of their patient access improvement efforts.”
