Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare Chooses MedeAnalytics to Automate Patient Access Process and Improve Business Office Workflow

EMERYVILLE, Calif., July 30, 2009 — MedeAnalytics, a leading provider of healthcare performance management solutions, announced today a multi-year agreement with Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare (WFH) to provide Real-Time Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, Self Pay, Registration Quality and RAC Analytics to Wheaton’s Wisconsin and Iowa regions, which include 10 acute care sites and nearly a hundred ambulatory locations.

The implementation of MedeAnalytics solutions and services is expected to significantly increase point-of-service cash collections and reduce bad debt through the automation, standardization and enhancement of Wheaton’s patient access process and business office workflow.

“MedeAnalytics’ solutions bring greater efficiencies to our workflow processes,” said Coreen Dicus-Johnson, senior vice president of Payer Contracting and Revenue Operations. “In addition, it will ultimately allow us to provide our patients with more comprehensive estimates on what their services will cost, something patients are yearning for in today’s complex healthcare environment,” Dicus-Johnson added.

“We are honored to now have Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare in the MedeAnalytics community,” said MedeAnalytics Chief Executive Officer Mike Gallagher. “The organization is an important addition to our client base, which is continuously experiencing operational, clinical and financial improvements through our performance management solutions. We look forward to a swift and smooth implementation for Wheaton and immediate, substantive benefits to WFH’s operational processes.”
